The heart of our business is design development. Below are the steps taken to get from idea to final design. All of the materials gathered during the information collection process are used. Base Map Once we have reviewed all the collected information we begin drafting a map. A base map gives us the existing conditions and spaces from which to design. Concept Development Designs are always informed by a concept derived from the collected information. The concept is roughly drawn out determining location of structures and spaces, transitions and connections between spaces as well as general planting areas. Once the concept is approved by the client Final Design Development take place. Final Design The Final Design is a complete set of drawings which will include hardscapes (patios, walls, structures, driveways, decks, terraces, etc.), softscapes (planting areas) and planting plans (quantity and sizes of plant material). For larger scoped projects, construction details may be included. Elevations and perspective drawings will also be included at an additional cost if so desired. The next step. . . Installation
